An annual trip for many New Yorkers, the Enchanted Forest Water Safari theme park in Old Forge, N.Y. is a great way for families to cool off in the summer heat. Water rides and slides are plentiful, as are carnival games and storybook play areas for the little ones. And although there is an all you can eat buffet, one TripAdvisor user suggests you put the wallet away: "We brought a cooler with lunch and snacks which was a money-saver, and also prevented the kids from asking for too much junk food."
