Best Times to Visit Bahamas
The best time to visit the Bahamas is from May to November, the country's off-season. The weather in the Bahamas remains relatively consistent, with temperatures rarely dipping below 60 degrees even in winter. Average high temperatures from December to May range in the high 70s to low 80s. The rainy season occurs between May and November, with the hurricane season starting in June. But despite all the rain predictions, the Bahamas see more than 300 days of sunshine every year.

The best Bahamas hotel deals -- up to 60 percent off -- are available between July and November. But some islands, especially many of the Out Islands, virtually close during this period. Grand Bahama, New Providence and Paradise Island all stay open year-round. For the best all-around experience (including good prices, decent weather and fewer crowds), travel in June.

The winter months are the country's busiest time of the year, so many hotels are booked solid months in advance. Prices sky-rocket and you'll be waiting in line for everything from your rental car to your tee time. Be sure to plan ahead, by at least three months or more, if you want to visit during this period.

If you're not into drunken fun, avoid this short, but very distinct Spring Break season. Beach parties are plentiful, the music is loud, and occasionally hotels will host events, so we recommend calling ahead to double check if you want to skip out on this year's party.
