| About these ratings | ||
Right off of the city's Main Street, the newly renovated Waterfront neighborhood is a lovely place to spend the afternoon with the kids or your sweetie. Explore the local ecosystem at the ECHO Lake Aquarium & Science Center, take a ride on Burlington's scenic bike path or lay out a picnic spread in Waterfront Park. If you do decide to munch by Lake Champlain's Waterfront, we recommend you bring your own goodies; the food stalls are a bit limited when it comes to dining options.
Still, you at least have to swing by the Waterfront. As one TripAdvisor reviewer writes: "There are many benches and even long bench 'swings' that fit 3-4 people. They face Lake Champlain and the [Adirondack] mountains. The views are stunning during sunset, when the sun disappears into the mountains before your eyes."
