| About these ratings | ||
Located right near the famous Land's End rock formations, Playa del Amor, or Lover's Beach, is one of Cabo's most famous beaches. It sits south of Cabo's downtown, but remains easily accessible by water boat from the marina.
Despite its popularity, Lover's Beach can lose its romantic appeal. For one, there are no bathrooms or beach bars, and according to one traveler on TripAdvisor: "Lovers Beach really is a beautiful and amazing place, but no one mentioned all the flies! We went in the late afternoon [...] in February and there were flies everywhere." Be sure to bring bug spray if you decide to venture out toward the beach.
Travelers also warn that you should only swim on the Bahia de Cabo San Lucas side. Tides can get extremely rough on the Pacific end, and the area poses a high drowning risk.
