The Split Summer Festival is Central Dalmatia's time to show off. You're already enjoying near-perfect weather, a spectacular beach setting, fashionable cuisine and exciting nightlife, when Croatia's second-largest city puts on a show for its citizens and its visitors. Ballet, drama, opera, concerts and cultural art exhibitions descend upon the seaside city. Exhibits aren't limited to just the Dalmatian Coast's or Croatia's heritage. You might also hear Italian opera before Shakespeare's Hamlet.
