Isle of Palms County Park

If several days in Charleston proper have you longing for a do-nothing day at the beach, the Isle of Palms might be just the ticket. Located just 10 miles north of the city, visitors will find about seven miles of shore, ideal for swimming, sailing, windsurfing or simply sitting … on a towel, or course; the summer sun has been known to make scorching sand.
