| About these ratings | ||
With seven stories filled to the brim with works by famed artists such as Georgia O'Keeffe and Frederic Remington, the Denver Art Museum is any art aficionado's dream. Assembled over 40 years, this museum's collection of Western art is one of the most prestigious in the country. While the attractiveness of the building itself (designed in the 1970's) is up for debate, one TripAdvisor user writes: "Fabulous contemporary galleries, wonderful Western and Asian art collections." At a loss of where to start? Learn from those recently overwhelmed visitors that recommend you take a tour (both overview and in-depth tours are available). If you're traveling with children, check out the museums interactive attractions, which are listed on the Denver Art Museum's website.
Located in the downtown area, the Denver Art Museum is open Tuesday through Sunday, with extended hours on Thursday and Friday. Admission ranges from about $20 for adults to $15 for children ages 6 through 17.
