Elitch Gardens Theme Park

Denverites have been frequenting this beloved amusement park since it was constructed west of Downtown in 1890, and travel writers recommend that you get in on the action. Roller-coasters, carousels, a 100-foot Ferris Wheel and numerous other rides are sure to keep you and your family entertained. But some call the Elitch old and retro; you might be disappointed if you expect a flashier, modern amusement park. 

A day pass to Elitch Gardens costs approximately $41 for adults, $25 for youths and free for children age 3 and under. Hours of operation vary depending on the season, so it's best to check the schedule on the park's website before finalizing plans.
