| About these ratings | ||
Similar to its more centrally located competitor Elitch Gardens, Lakeside Amusement Park is often labeled "nostalgic" -- a kind criticism for having old rides. However, the park is aimed more at kids than teens and adults, and it successfully attracts hoards of young riders (and their parents) every day. Recent visitors especially enjoyed The Cyclone, a classic wooden roller coaster that delivers surprising drops, shocks, and turns. You'll also find your typical carnival fare -- bumper cars, bumper boats, drop ride, etc. For an added treat, consider visiting at night. That's when Lakeside's blanketing neon lights make it a colorful spectacle.
The park offers unlimited ride wrist tags for approximately $13.75 Monday through Friday and $19.75 on the weekends. You can also purchase individual coupons for $.50 and pay for each ride separately, but keep in mind rides cost between one to six coupons. You should check Lakeland's website for more detailed information about pricing, special events and driving directions.
