Guests of the nearby Grande Ocean Resort are some of the most frequent visitors to this gorgeous beach, but take our word for it: You'll want to make the effort to visit. According to recent guests, one of Alder Lane's best perks is that it's quieter than Coligny Beach. And the sand is often touted as just as nice and compact. You'll also find changing rooms and a vending machine offering drinks, though you might also miss creature comforts like the nearby shopping center and restaurants.

Alder Lane is open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day. You'll find it off South Forest Beach Drive. Access if free, but there is a paid parking lot (one quarter buys 15 minutes of time) located across the street from the shore.
