Our Take: Near the southern edge of Denali National Park, the Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge reminds visitors of a remote outpost. Nothing but wilderness surrounds this rustic-looking hotel. Three hiking trails radiate from the lodge; the McKinley Hill Trail gives the most impressive mountain views. Recent guests appreciate the tour desk, which assists them in arranging guided excursions into the park. In fact, the entire staff garners positive reviews. And although the rooms are a bit bare, travelers still praise their time spent at the lodge.
