Our Take: This spa resort doesn't take any of its five stars for granted, particularly when it comes to delivering first-rate customer service. Scroll through user reviews, and the accolades pour forth: that the wait staff and kitchen were patient with a guest's Sabbath restrictions; that an anniversary trip was rewarded with an unprompted chocolate-drenched strawberry dessert; that both the general manager and concierge will make sure to seek you out to ensure that your needs are being met. One problem you might face, however, is exclusivity. The Acqualina Resort & Spa on the Beach has only 54 hotel rooms and 44 suites, so be sure to book early for an upcoming trip to Sunny Isles Beach. The rooms, should you secure one, come with double sinks and glass-enclosed showers in the bathrooms, and Frette linens and goose down duvets on the beds.You'll find Sunny Isles Beach about 10 miles north of Miami Beach.
