U.S. News Review

This spa resort doesn't take any of its five stars for granted, particularly when it comes to delivering first-rate customer service. Recent guests can't help but keep the compliments coming: Travelers say that the hotel staff took extra care to personalize each experience. Some examples include taking care of a guest's Sabbath restrictions and celebrating an anniversary with a complimentary chocolate-drenched strawberry dessert. Both the general manager and concierge will make sure to seek you out to ensure that your needs are being met. One problem you might face, however, is exclusivity. The Acqualina Resort & Spa on the Beach has only 54 hotel rooms and 44 suites, so be sure to book early for an upcoming trip to Sunny Isles Beach. The rooms come with double sinks and glass-enclosed showers in the bathrooms and Frette linens and goose down duvets on the beds. Meanwhile, the property also features three in-house eateries, four outdoor pools, a spa and water sports equipment. You'll find the Acqualina Resort & Spa in Sunny Isles Beach, about 10 miles north of Miami Beach.

Critic Reviews

“Four pools, great Italian cuisine, a luxurious spa, ... huge, modern rooms, and some of Miami's most attentive service — this is family-oriented Sunny Isles' best hotel.”

“Even standard rooms facing away from the ocean seem grand; they have huge flatscreens that rise out of the foot of the bed, making recumbent TV-watching seem like a theater experience. The property is exceptionally children-friendly, with a fabulous kids' program and tons of activities on-site.”
Award: Fodor's Choice

“Its Sunny Isles location ensures guests that they will be closer to the beach than in most South Beach hotels (if not quite in the middle of bustling nightlife), with a less crowded and more serene seaside property decked out with bright red lounge chairs and umbrellas.”
