Our Take: Sitting inside Yosemite National Park, The Ahwahnee Hotel hosts some of the park's most desired accommodations. From the outside, the hotel looks like a majestic mountain lodge set amongst Yosemite's greatest features. For example, the dining room commands views of Yosemite Falls. And numerous visitors attest to the hotel's magical setting. Still, there is a drawback: you'll have to shell out big bucks to be so close to key sights like the Half Dome. And you'll keep shelling them out to dine in the overpriced, aforementioned dining room.
