Our Take: The Dutch-style architecture of Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort Aruba—with its yellow stucco walls and red clay roof—sets this small resort apart from Aruba's modern high-rises. Inside, guests say the rooms are nothing special, but the intimate and friendly customer service is what earns the resort its four-star rating. All rooms include a kitchenette and free internet access. Outside, guests have access to the sandy, palapa-studded beach, which can be enjoyed while sipping drinks from the thatched-roof bar. Visitors can dine on seafood right on the sand at Passions on the Beach Restaurant, or choose from the buffet at the semi-open-air Mango's Restaurant. Located on Aruba's west side, the resort is just a quick cab ride from Palm Beach's casinos and nightlife.
