Our Take: This chic boutique hotel set in the heart of Manhattan, right across the street from the New York Public Library, earns major props for its exceptional space. Inside, guests are greeted with 12-foot ceilings, spacious bathrooms, and massive windows. And the elegance extends to the airy accommodations, which feature deluxe amenities such as thick robes, plush beds, large work desks, lavish bath products, sleek flat-screen TVs, and a stocked mini-bar filled with complimentary snacks (a bonus recent visitors highlight as a much-appreciated perk). Another major plus about staying at Andaz: Thanks to its Hyatt connection, Hyatt Gold Passport® holders may redeem attractive privileges, such as free night stays, by choosing to bed down here. And though some previous visitors complain that the guest rooms are too small, most report a pleasant stay overall thanks to the extremely courteous hotel staff.
