Our Take: Dramatically rising above the Pacific Ocean on a verdant bluff in Punta Diamante, Banyan Tree Club Marqués certainly has its competitors beat when it comes to location. Its villas are built into the cliff, offering breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean below. Villas feature heated pools, sun decks and verandas all made from locally-sourced materials. With a fusion of Asian and Latin American design elements, the resort offers what it calls a "holistic Asian ambience," signature to the Banyan Tree brand. Though this new age aura permeates the entire five-star property, it's perhaps most noticeable at the spa. Open-air pavilions usher in a tropical breeze as spa therapists pamper visitors with East-meets-West massage techniques. Still looking for more relaxation?
