U.S. News Review

Denver's landmark hotel is a hit with history buffs and luxury lovers alike. The Brown Palace Hotel in the Uptown neighborhood has catered to the city's visitors for more than 100 years. Though some guests claim that The Brown Palace is beginning to show its age, others are fond of the period accents and antiquated ambiance. In fact, many recent visitors say that this lavish hotel makes a great choice for a couples getaway thanks to the romantic Victorian decor and on-site extras (like a flower shop). Meanwhile, the Old World vibe continues into the guest rooms, which feature wooden bed frames and high thread-count linens making the bed a cozy place to curl up with your special someone. If you're still not relaxed, indulge in one of several couples-friendly spa services, or plan to spend date night at a table for two at the Palace Arms restaurant. Because The Brown Palace is owned and operated by The Autograph Collection, those who take part in the Marriott Rewards loyalty program can put points toward extra perks or free nights.

“This is the historic high point of hotels in Denver. The Brown Palace's doors opened in 1892 and in the 120-plus years of continuous operation, much has stayed the same.”
