Our Take: Resting on the southern edge of Telluride village, the Camel's Garden Hotel is within walking distance of the mountain gondola as well as the historic streets of central Telluride. Location isn't the only thing Camel's Garden has to brag about: Guests love the hotel's quiet ambiance and its full-service spa, Atmosphere. The rooms here receive high praise from previous visitors, who appreciate the generous amount of space allotted for the standard accommodations. While here, make sure to sit down to dinner at Oak, run by one of the region's most beloved restaurateurs, Robbie O'Dell. The restaurant has earned a reputation among visitors and locals alike for its barbeque and Southern-style cuisine. But the highlight of guests' stays here wasn't nearby skiing or a mouthwatering menu: Repeat customers say that it's the hotel's incredibly friendly staff that keeps them coming back.
