Our Take: You'll find this 77-room hotel just three blocks south of Central Park on West 56th Street. What separates the Chambers from the dozens of other four-star hotels in the area is its comprehensive art collection—hundreds of contemporary pieces are on display throughout the hotel. Even the guestrooms are designed with an artist's loft in mind, with modern interior spaces and custom-designed artwork. Plus, the accommodations come appointed with extravagant touches, such as sleek flat-screen TVs, mini-bars stocked with Dean & Deluca gourmet goods, 300-thread count Egyptian linens, and even complimentary iPads. While most report a pleasant stay overall, some recent guests do complain of cramped bathrooms. Still, most say the hotel's sophisticated atmosphere, incredible location, stylish accommodations, and excellent service makes up for this slight drawback. Plus, foodies will delight in the delectable eats served at on-site dining venue, Má Pêche, a beloved Manhattan raw bar helmed by Chef David Chang, founder of the acclaimed restaurant, Momofuku.
