Our Take: Sitting several miles south of downtown Colorado Springs, the Cheyenne Mountain Resort offers beautiful views of the Rocky Mountains. Drawing inspirations from the natural surroundings, guestrooms are adorned in yellow, green, and brown hues, with contemporary furnishings, Gilchrist & Soames bath products, and private balconies, although some visitors were not pleased with their views. (When making your reservations, ask for a room facing away from the parking lot.) Guests appreciate the relaxing vibe provided by the hotel's style, and they describe the staff as warm and friendly. The Cheyenne Mountain Resort's 18-hole golf course and not one, but two nearby spas also contribute to this property's reputation as an R&R haven. Also, the three on-site eateries (Mountain View Restaurant, Will Rogers Lounge, and Pineview Grille) will keep your appetite satisfied.
