Our Take: Overlooking the bright blue waters of southwestern Tobago, the Coco Reef Resort & Spa welcomes guests to 10 acres of manicured gardens and sandy shoreline. The resort's 135 guestrooms, suites, and villas are oversized and decked out in tiled floors (to help beat the heat) and a tropical motif (that some guests say felt a little outdated). Despite the antiquated furnishings, previous visitors say that the Coco Reef Resort exudes a casual ambiance. The resort also boasts two tennis courts, 18 holes of golf at the Mount Irvine Golf Course, and a series of island tours. For a more relaxing day, lounge by the pool or pamper yourself at the Spa. Then grab a drink or a bite to eat at one of Coco Reef's three restaurants and two bars. You can also opt to dine at the Café Coco Restaurant and Bar, located just a short cab ride away.
