Our Take: Little touches like soy milk for your morning coffee or steel cut oats for your breakfast oatmeal go a long way with recent guests of the Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows. Those travelers also praise the invested and attentive staff and the fresh produce served in the hotel's FIG restaurant. But most of all, this hotel earns praise for its convenience to the Third Street Promenade of Santa Monica. Guests find that the guestrooms, on the other hand, need a facelift, citing threadbare carpeting and out-of-date bathroom fixtures (however, the coastal views from the Tower Suites' balconies garner much admiration).
