Our Take: Nestled in the heart of the Golden Triangle, the Fairmont Pittsburgh is popular with Pirates fans since it's only a 20-minute walk from the PNC Park. But there's a lot more to love about this hotel than its convenience. Recent visitors particularly applaud the spacious guest rooms, appointed with plush duvets, iPod docking stations, refreshment centers, and flat-screen TVs. Guests also give major kudos to the uniquely Pittsburgh-esque exposed steel in the lobby—a nod to this city's main industry. Travelers also praise the mouthwatering bites served at Habitat Restaurant. The only drawback, according to few dissatisfied visitors, is the unpleasant demeanor of the concierge staff at this Fairmont outpost.
