Our Take: The Fontainebleau once hosted big wigs like Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley. Now its swanky, cabana-corralled pool is studded with the likes of Heidi Klum and Rihanna. What do today's celebs get when they check-in? A luxe Lapis spa (with age defying facials and mineral water jet pools) and 12 choice restaurants. Plus all 1,504 guestrooms and suites have iMacs (a first for Miami Beach hotels) and flat-screen televisions. But even with all the flashy perks and celeb spotting, the Fontainebleau's recent guests seem the most impressed with the front desk staff. Maintaining its reputation as the playground of the stars, the Fontainebleau also boasts its own nightlife scene with the Bleau Bar, which some recent visitors found reverberated throughout the entire hotel. If you're hoping for a more relaxing Miami Beach stay, consider booking elsewhere.
