Our Take: While the Paseo de la Reforma may be buzzing with traffic and tourists, the Four Seasons Hotel Mexico, D.F. offers some peace and quiet. Clean, spacious rooms are spread out across a colonial-style building, with a romantically lush fountain courtyard at its center. Accommodations are equipped with deep soaking tubs, iPod docking stations and LCD flat-screen TVs, not to mention views of the bustling avenue below. Chapultepec Forest sits a little over a mile west of the Four Seasons, but lodgers more interested in R&R are content to stay near the hotel, especially with its pampering amenities. Guests say the pool is kept at a comfortably warm temperature, while the spa is equally enticing with refreshing facials and massages. And though visitors praise the Mediterranean-inspired menu at the on-site restaurant, Reforma 500, they also caution that the restaurant does not offer dinner service on the weekends. Ask the knowledgeable staff for nearby restaurant recommendations.
