Our Take: This resort and casino hotel is situated in southern Indiana, cuddling into a corner of the Hoosier National Forest (a little more than two hours south of Indianapolis). There are several lush golf courses, an enormous spa with 24 treatment rooms, pools, a bowling alley, and a 51,000 square foot casino. If that's not enough to keep guests busy, the French Lick Resort also puts on concerts and offers hiking or biking along the nearby Buffalo Trace Trail. Still, some say the nicest thing about the French Lick Resort is its peaceful milieu.
