Our Take: Keep in mind that this Kissimmee, Fla. hotel is about six miles outside of the Disney World park area. So on the plus side, you're far enough removed from Mickey's hoopla to enjoy a restful stay, should you choose. But you're close enough to practically make out the tip-top of Epcot's Spaceship Earth dome. Previous guests appreciate the convenient location, as well as the amenities offered for business travelers. Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center has several ballrooms and breakout rooms, plus it's only about a 25-minutes ride from Orlando International Airport (MCO). Take your pick between the newly remodeled Sunset guest rooms or the Emerald Bay guest rooms, differentiated by their distinct décor and guest-specific amenities. According to the resort's website, Emerald Bay rooms are more suited for business travelers needing extra privacy. And now that Gaylord has joined the Marriott brand, Marriott Rewards members can use or earn points here.
