Our Take: It's no secret that Golden Bear Lodge & Spa caters to linksmen, offering access to two sprawling sets of fairways, but this property also caters to non-golfers thanks to a variety of on-site amenities. Located less than a mile south of Punta Cana proper, the Golden Bear Lodge is described by recent guests as relaxing thanks to its in-house spa, but many say that the lodge remains a golf-centric destination. Previous visitors lament the lodge's distance to the beach, though they approve of the spacious outdoor pool and opportunities to go deep-sea fishing.
