Our Take: As the bigger sibling to the popular Little America Hotel, The Grand America Hotel leads the boutique pack in Salt Lake City. Located downtown, this large property is decked out in Victorian motifs, such as gilded wall paneling, ornate vases, and antique furniture. Guests love the elegant feel of this hotel because, as they note, the fancy décor doesn't take away from the comfort. Guestrooms are ornate, but the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms large, and the in-room features (like the 32-inch TVs) are up to date. The hotel's long list of services—which include complimentary wireless Internet access, airport transportation, a pool, and kid-friendly amenities—also earn this hotel a thumbs-up. Visitors especially appreciate the numerous discounts offered by The Grand America, which allow for savings at the Grand Spa and the on-site Garden Café.
