Our Take: A member of the Princess Resorts family, Grand Riviera Princess is a vacation destination unto itself. Stretching out along the Caribbean coast just north of Playa del Carmen, this expansive property features 12 swimming pools, six tennis courts, a state-of-the-art fitness and spa complex and seven restaurants (not including two buffets and nine bars). Couple that with suites stocked with plasma TVs, mini bars and private terraces or balconies, and you'll be hard-pressed to find a reason to leave. Recent guests express positive opinions about the resort, describing the property as beautiful, the on-site cuisine as enjoyable and the customer service as exceeding expectations.
