U.S. News Review

Halekulani remains a traveler favorite for its über-luxurious accommodations and breathtaking views of Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head. Rooms come decorated in Halekulani's signature "seven shades of white" and feature complimentary Internet access, flat-panel TVs and welcome fruit and chocolate. And then there are those gorgeous ocean views available in all but the courtyard rooms. Recent guests highly recommend requesting a room that looks out over the shore; the ocean vistas compliment the creamy room decor. Recent visitors also laud the helpful service staff, attesting that employees here went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. While you're here, make some time for the SpaHalekulani, which offers a long list of relaxing treatments inspired by Polynesian theraputic rituals. Halekulani also houses three restaurants, and the Lewers Lounge makes a great evening spot thanks to its nightly jazz performances.

Critic Reviews

“The luxurious Halekulani exemplifies the translation of its name — the 'house befitting heaven' — and from the moment you step into the lobby, the attention to detail and impeccable service wrap you in privilege at this beachfront location away from Waikiki's bustle.”
Award: Fodor's Choice

“Leave the bright colors and the historic trappings to the Royal Hawaiian. Leave the colonial details and the grand old dame title to the Moana Surfrider. Leave the Dolphin Quest and the suburban serenity to the Kahala. If the brand of luxury you're seeking is whitewashed Zen with clean lines and fastidious service, in the center of Waikiki, the Halekulani delivers.”

“Of all the hotels in Waikiki, this one feels the most peaceful, abetted by lovely, personable service. It’s a true escape.”
Award: Frommer's Exceptional
