Our Take: Far and away Nashville's most historic and luxurious hotel, The Hermitage is well appointed (especially after its recent $17 million makeover) with flat-screen TVs, Molton Brown bath products, complimentary Internet access, and freshly baked sweets and pastries. The hotel's restaurant, the Capitol Grille, is also quite popular among guests; it serves up sumptuous regional fare with ingredients from a local farm. But what visitors love the most about staying here is interacting with the hotel's employees; staff members here are well-versed in Southern hospitality and are willing to go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. You'll find this century-old hotel in Nashville's downtown area.
