Our Take: This secluded Relais & Châteaux property in Rincón features all the trappings of a luxurious resort, from its high-end facilities to its lofty duplex suites, complete with dark wooden furniture, four-poster beds, and private terraces overlooking Puerto Rico's west coast. Most visitors have only praise for the hotel's spectacular grounds. When you're ready to stretch your legs, the concierge staff can help you arrange tee times at Robert Trent Jones golf course in Dorado (approximately 90 minutes away by car). After exploring the island, sit down for a meal at the Blue Room or retreat to the Restaurant Aaron, which offers patrons al fresco. Just note: This resort is a trek from San Juan, so if you're looking to explore El Morro or Mosquito Bay, this location probably isn't right for you.
