U.S. News Review
Occupying what was once the headquarters of Mr. A.F. Gault's 19th-century textile industry, Hotel Gault offers Montreal visitors a trendy place to hang their hat. The renovated building now houses 30 spacious suites with exposed brick walls, expansive French windows and custom oak cabinetry. Previous guests describe the brightly colored furnishings as beautiful and comfortable and praise the LED HD televisions and complimentary Wi-Fi access. And despite the hotel's Vieux-Montreal location (just a few blocks from the Old Port), travelers say that late-night noise is not a concern here. Hotel Gault makes a great jumping-off point for a tour of the city, but when you're ready to unwind, kick-back and surf the Web with a complimentary iPad, available for use in suites and common spaces. When hunger sets in, grab a table at The Gault Restaurant, which earns high praise for its French-style breakfast and lunch menus. What's more, previous travelers say that the hotel staff is more than happy to provide restaurant recommendations. How we rank hotels
