Our Take: Hotel Santa Fe isn't your typical high-end hotel. Though its quite a ways away from the Plaza, this is the only Native American-owned property in the city, meaning that you'll have access to cultural experiences like story-telling and tribal dancing. However, recent guests weren't sold on the entertainment alone; though some have only good things to say about the friendly staff and the traditional cuisine served at Amaya restaurant, others advise that it's only worth staying here if you splurge on a room in the Hacienda, four acres-worth of pueblo-style lodgings. Unlike the accommodations in the main building, Hacienda rooms are described by past guests as brighter and more comfortable, with fireplaces and plenty of space. Even then, guests say, Hotel Santa Fe isn't for everyone. For example, some people truly appreciated the property's fairly relaxed pet policies, though others were not fans of the constant barking eminating from nearby rooms.
