Our Take: This Sofitel is located in Bloomington, Minn., just a 10-minute drive from the Mall of America and only a 20-minute drive north into the Minne-Apple. Though some guests lament the Sofitel's distance from downtown attractions, others say that the 12-mile commute is worth all the amenities you'll receive here. Guestrooms are spacious and stylish, featuring satellite TVs, mini-bars, and Wi-Fi access. Previous visitors say that the customer service here is well above par—citing the free juice drinks at check-in as a particular highlight—and that the French cuisine served at Colette Bar and Bistro is worth trying. (You'll be thankful for the on-site fitness center after several days of gourmet dinners and complimentary morning pastries.)
