Our Take: Located in the Rittenhouse Square area, the Hotel Sofitel Philadelphia faces steep competition from the Hotel Palomar (across the street) and The Rittenhouse. However, this luxury property rises to the challenge with exceptional customer service and luxurious accommodations. Recent guests rave about the cloud-like beds and modern elegance found in every guest room. Previous visitors also praise the upscale amenities, which include L'Occitane bath products, marble bathrooms, fully stocked mini-bars, and Wi-Fi access. While most recent guests report a pleasant stay overall, some do bemoan the hotel's minimal common space and exorbitant valet parking fees. But apart from these slight drawbacks, visitors cite plenty of reasons to return, including the sophisticated setting and delecable french fare offered at Liberte Urban Chic Lounge.
