Our Take: This trendy see-and-be-seen enclave on the River Walk attracts the hippest (and wealthiest) lodgers. The Vbar and the Citrus restaurant set the chic-and sometimes loud-tone of the property, as beautiful people in beautiful clothes sip beautiful cocktails (though some guests note that the dim lighting can make it difficult to people-watch). The guestrooms are just as elegant: The European-style rooms focus around a very cozy bed and feature deluxe amenities like 42-inch LCD TVs and private bars. And after a fashionable night out, guests find the Valencia's nightly turndown service (should they request it) to be the perfect, welcoming touch to close the evening. Late-night noise is prevalent, but that comes with the territory. Should you be in need of a little pick-me-up come morning, an in-room massage should do the trick.
