Our Take: Located just west of the city center, the boutique Hotel ZaZa lures style-minded guests with its Urban Oasis Lounge (a poolside hot spot often frequented by Hollywood A-listers when they're in town) and its "concept" suites featuring themed décor. Even if you opt for a regular room, you'll find yourself bedding down in the presence of one-of-a-kind artwork and Mediterranean-inspired decorative accents (as well as a 42-inch flat-panel TV and a private snack bar). Most guests love the furnishings, the service and the restaurant, though ZaZa's quirky style isn't for everyone. When you're not snoozing or lounging by the pool, you can pamper yourself with a massage or work up a sweat at the ZaSpa. Or, treat your taste buds to a variety of innovative flavors at Dragonfly.
