Our Take: Upon stepping foot inside the Hotel deLuxe, you might think you've been transported to Hollywood circa 1940s. About 350 frames contain black-and-white images of Golden Age film stars, plus there's the sultry Driftwood Room (a restaurant/bar) and all the gilt moldings and crystal chandeliers you could ask for. Guests adore this downtown hotel's proximity to Pearl Street and the happy hour at the bar, as well as in-room amenities like the pillow menu and flat-screen HDTVs.
