Our Take: This West End hotel is one of the only truly modern and chic ones in Nashville. And its cool contemporary design keeps the environment in mind, with furnishings made from reclaimed wood, light sensors, and even a hybrid car to shuttle guests around town. Travelers were surprised upon arriving at the Hutton: Though the exterior has an industrial look about it, the hotel lobby and guestrooms are vibrantly decorated with contemporary art and bright red décor. The atmosphere in the 1808 Grille is a bit more natural, with earthy tones providing a comfortable vibe in which to enjoy the farm-to-table cuisine. Guests also enjoy the Hutton's location, in walking distance to Vanderbilt University and all the shops, bars, and restaurants that cater to the collegiate crowd.
