U.S. News Review

Recent guests are able to overlook a few shortcomings at the Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six for its unbeatable location. Situated along the Intracoastal Waterway, this Fort Lauderdale hideaway affords scenic views of the Port Everglades Cruise Terminal. In fact, cruise travelers praise the hotel as a convenient spot to gear up before you set sail. However, even if you're not in Fort Lauderdale for a cruise departure, lodgers say the marina locale makes it easy to catch a water taxi to Fort Lauderdale Beach. In addition to its location, this Hyatt earns praise for its friendly customer service and comfortable guest rooms, all of which house flat-screen TVs, ample work space and free Wi-Fi access. The property also features three pools, tennis facilities and the popular (albeit pricey) Grille 66. If you're a member of the Hyatt Gold Passport program you can use or earn points here.

Critic Reviews

Fodor's

“Don't let the 1970s exterior of the iconic 17-story tower fool you; this lovely 22-acre resort teems with contemporary interior-design sophistication and remains one of Florida's few hotels where a rental car isn't necessary.”

Sun Sentinel

“... what a beauty we have in Grille 66, where chef Michael Siegel's all-American menu runs from raw bar, to prime steak and on to innovative seafood. If you need reminding that Fort Lauderdale is one of the country's largest yachting centers, take a look at the gorgeous mega yachts outside the wall of windows that look on to the Intracoastal.”

Concierge.com

“Tucked away at the southern end of town, Pier 66 is a great respite for families and those wanting to steer clear of the brash boardwalk crowds. A $25 million renovation, completed in October 2007, upgraded the pool area with cabanas, man-made waterfalls, and a 40-person hydrotherapy pool.”
