U.S. News Review

The InterContinental Miami might be the perfect solution for beachcombers looking to save a little coin. From this downtown hotel, you can see the glitter and glitz of South Beach and have easy access to it via the Intracoastal Waterway. Then again, you might just want to stay in and forgo the beach scene a few days to experience what this hotel has to offer. Spread out over 34 stories, this member of the InterContinental family houses spacious rooms and suites outfitted with marble bathrooms and a beige-and-blue color scheme. Guest rooms also feature oversized windows, large desks, flat-screen TVs and premium minibars, and if you're in the mood for more than just snacks, you can order room service 24 hours a day. But should you feel like dining in a more social setting, head to Toro Toro for a one-of-a-kind spin on Central and South American cuisine. Travelers particularly rave about the services offered by the in-house mySpa, complimenting the wide array of services available. Because of its brand ties, this hotel participates in the IHG Rewards Club.

Critic Reviews

“Downtown Miami is home to Toro Toro, a hot new Pan-Latin steakhouse by Chef Richard Sandoval on the lobby level of the InterContinental Miami, which just finished a $30 million renovation—including the installation of a permanent 19-story LED Digital Canvas.”

“The hotel packs in an eclectic crowd — from vacationing families with children to school groups to businessmen to canoodling couples.”

“During the day, the triangular lobby uses the natural light from the clear window ceiling to highlight the 30-ton Henry Moore sculpture that was dropped into the space more than 30 years ago. The marble sculpture mirrors the lobby that includes more marble than any other hotel in Florida.”

USA Today

“Guest rooms feature vibrant colors, pillow-top beds with duvets, mini bars, European marble bathrooms, panoramic city-, pool- or ocean views, and high-speed Internet access for a fee.”
