Our Take: New Orleans is a city that practically begs for you to stay in a boutique hotel. And perhaps the "boutique-iest" option would be the International House. Previous guests say this Central Business District hotel is certainly a feast for the eyes, with architectural artifacts adorning the guest rooms, and furnishings, linens, and color palettes chosen by Los Angeles-based designer LM Pagno. Along with the well-appointed rooms, the International House also features the candlit Loa Bar, favored by guests for its inventive cocktails. But because this is a boutique hotel, it does come with some quirks, including no room service and small rooms.
