Our Take: The JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes is a comfortable, reasonably priced option that's approximately 13 miles outside of the Lake Buena Vista / Walt Disney World area. Recent lodgers describe this four-star as a good hotel for both business travelers and families (and even better, business travelers who happen to be traveling with their families). Many of the rooms have a balcony, but if possible, ask to face west for the most scenic view. And some accommodations offer 32-inch flat-screen televisions and standalone showers and bathtubs. Together, the Marriott's three ballrooms account for nearly 100,000 square feet of meeting space; there are also a few places on the grounds to host business functions. And what is any Orlando hotel without a sensational pool? At the JW Marriott, there are two outdoor heated pools as well as a 24,000 square foot lazy river. For younger guests there's a splash pool, playground and an arcade room. Keep in mind that if you're looking for many of the same amenities in slightly more upscale accommodations, The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes shares resort grounds with this Marriott.
