Our Take: Sitting on the edge of Saguaro National Park's Tucson Mountain District, the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa combines the peace and quiet of a secluded getaway with the convenience of a suburban location. Guests appreciate having plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors: The resort is surrounded by hiking and mountain biking trails, while the views from the tee boxes at the Starr Pass Tucson Golf Club are worth beholding. Many guests also highlight the JW Marriott's value, claiming that its guestrooms and amenities are nearly on par with the nearby Ritz. (And because this resort is owned and opperated by the Marriott Hotels group, you can save even more when you pay for your room with rewards points.) Travelers highlight the multi-level pool and full-service Hashani Spa as major highlights, while the four on-site restaurants receive plenty of praise for their varied (and delicious) menu items.
