Our Take: Sitting in northern Sedona, less than a mile north of the Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village, the L'Auberge de Sedona offers guests a peaceful getaway without sacrificing an in-town location. Recent visitors praise the resort's relaxed setting along the banks of Oak Creek, and they describe the lodge's guest rooms—complete with intricately carved furniture and red design accents that complement Sedona's scenery—as cozy and inviting. The resort also contains individual cabins with private porches and fireplaces for those of you who need a little extra room. No matter which type of accommodation you choose, you'll be treated to luxurious Italian linens, complimentary high-speed Internet access, and Gilchrist & Soames bath products. Travelers also give kudos to L'Auberge's customer service, saying that everyone —from the spa therapists to the waiters at the L'Auberge Restaurant on Oak Creek—was extremely friendly.
