U.S. News Review

At the massive MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, bigger is better, even if it makes the floor plan confusing to navigate. Not that you really need to find your way to the door to leave, anyway: The MGM houses more than 5,000 rooms and suites, nearly 30 different dining options, eight bars and clubs and nine entertainment venues, including the popular Hakkasan nightclub and Wet Republic pool complex. Top entertainers include David Copperfield, the acrobats of Cirque du Soleil's Kà and a regular rotation of comedians at Brad Garrett's Comedy Club. And despite its confusing and immense layout, the MGM still fares well with Vegas travelers — though they do recommend you pack a comfortable pair of shoes. You'll find this MGM Resorts property on the Strip, across the street from the New York - New York Hotel and Casino.

Critic Reviews

“Once-bland accommodations are now sexy stunners with bold accents of green or magenta making the visuals pop, floor-to-ceiling padded headboards, and mirrors making them seem bigger than they are, and lots of new technology such as 40-inch flat-screen televisions and a connectivity center, making them feel cutting edge.”

“... the MGM Grand is a true Las Vegas icon: the city's largest hotel, a major concert and sporting event venue, full of nightlife and entertainment options and celebrity chef restaurants, including arguably the nation's single best fine dining spot, the 3-Michelin starred, Forbes 5-Star, Joel Robuchon.”

“This gigantic green building, originally themed after the Wizard of Oz, stakes claim as the world's largest hotel. ... The gaming floor is the largest in Vegas and provides many of shopping, nightlife, gaming and dining choices.”
