U.S. News Review

You'll find the lobby of this Asian-inspired luxury hotel on the 35th floor of the Time Warner Building. From there, you can ascend to one of the 244 rooms and suites known for their impressive decor. Each of the accommodations — which recent guests describe as "luxury in the sky" — comes appointed with high-end amenities, such as cozy goose-down bedding, crisp Italian linens and sleek flat-screen TVs. The spa is another matter altogether: Covering 14,500 square feet, it has a much-acclaimed lap pool and lodgers rave over the natural spa treatments. And as far as dining is concerned, you'll have the delectable Asian-American fusion fare served at Asiate, the lighter eats offered at MObar and casual smaller bites served at The Lobby Lounge to sate your appetite.

“[M]any of [the rooms] are on the small side, and some have views that are compromised by neighboring high-rises.”
Award: Travel + Leisure 500 World's Best Hotels 2015

New York Magazine

“While the sprawling Time Warner Center certainly has its skeptics, at least the addition of the Mandarin Oriental to the city's hotel landscape is a welcome one.”

“The swimming pool is one of the city's best, with panoramic Hudson River views; and the spa, with a menu of lush treatments based on traditional Chinese medicine, is a destination for hotel guests and New Yorkers alike.”
Award: Fodor's Choice

“Sure, when one thinks of classic New York hotels, old icons like the Plaza and the Pierre come to mind. But the Mandarin Oriental is a New York icon of a different ilk.”
