Our Take: Marenas Resort is a modernly furnished beach resort of mostly suites, sitting on another stretch of Collins Avenue in an area called Sunny Isles Beach. Despite its picturesque location, visitors have split opinions on the overall experience at this four-star resort. Some say the carpets appeared a bit worn, or that the pool was a little small. And the staff, though always present, wasn't as helpful as other guests would have wished. On the bright side, any stretch of Miami Beach sand is pretty spectacular, and the resort will distribute age appropriate water toys and buckets for your children to make a supreme castle in the sand. Also note that from Marenas, you're about a 10-minute drive from the Bal Harbour shops.
